Point perch was designed and built after a lengthy outreach process with neighbors in the Hunters Point are of San Francisco. It is an outdoor gathering space with an undulating deck, benches and a stage. It was designed for the public to site and have a quiet moment to look at the bay and also to be used by a local women’s empowerment group for speaking events and meetings. Community meetings with local youth and residents commenced in tandem with RAD program funded upgrades to the former navy housing but was not able to address the many outdoor areas in the neighborhood.
